New for 2010, The Ridge course opens this summer. Home to the 2008 Telus "Skins" Game; Predator is a must play course in BC. Located 10 km south of Vernon off Commonage Road, Predator Ridge Golf Resort offers 36 Championship holes in a unique blend of open, links-style fairways, delineated by different coloured fescue grasses, as well as more familiar tree lined fairways. A public golf course on lush, sub-irrigated bottom land awaits golfers at Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club. Travel 11km north of Vernon on Highway 97, just past the Historic O'Keefe Ranch, to find this 18 hole, 6,423 yard par 71 championship course. The course encompasses 62 bunkers, 10 water holes and the serene Deep Creek. Spallumcheen also offers a 2,675 yard, par 35 executive course. Built in 1903 on Vernon Creek, just minutes from downtown hotels and motels, the Vernon Golf and Country Club is the area's longest established home for the sport. Graceful Lambert poplars and weeping willows line 6,400 yards of gently rolling fairways that span this 18 hole, par 72 challenge, suited to amateurs and professionals alike. Hillview Golf Course is a relaxed, 18 hole, 3.400 yard, par 56 course. Hillview is located just north of Highway 6 at 15th Street, on the east edge of Vernon . A five minute drive from downtown brings you to an easy walking game at this fully public facility, also equipped with a pro-shop and licensed restaurant. The Royal York Golf Club and RV Park is located in Armstrong, BC which is situated between the sunny, rolling Okanagan Valley and the cooler, forested Shuswap Valley . Further north on Highway 97A, approximately 30km north of Vernon, Birchdale Par 3 Golf offers and easy walk nine hole game, covering 1,257 yards of mostly level ground.
